Without electricity, we cannot live day-to-day life as we are using many electric machines to comfort our life. There are three types of metals namely conductor, semiconductor and insulator. Semiconductor which is partially conducting the electricity and is mostly used in the production of electronic devices because they control the flow of current.
Semiconductor industries are formed around 1960. There are different types of semiconductors among them most widely used is MOSFET.MOSFET was invented by Mohamed M, Atalla and DawonKahng at Bell lab in 1959.MOSFET is accounted for 99.9%of all-transistor. Annual semiconductor sales are $481 billion. This semiconductor production is more sensitive if any small crack or crash in them will not be used.
Taiwanese foundries have said it could take a minimum of 3 years to supply global semiconductor. Due corona pandemic situation schools and colleges are conducting online classes. This leads to the need for mobile phones and laptops among the students, need for temperature sensors, use of own vehicles, etc…. These made the industries produce more devices thus, results in the need for semiconductor.
While the semiconductors are used in CPUs, temperature sensor, mobile phones, T.V. LED bulb, refrigerator, etc… Semiconductor plays important role in the operation of ATM, train, internet and another part of social infrastructure. Semiconductor help to save energy and promote the preservation of the global environment. Worlds 100% manufacturing capacity of the most advanced semiconductor is currently located in Taiwan(92%) and South Korea(8%). This caused increase in the price of devices and forced in need of altering for semiconductor.
