LinkedIn is the most recent survivor of a gigantic information break and information of more than 500 million of its clients has been scratched from the stage and posted online available to be purchased. These contain sensitive information like email addresses, phone numbers, workplace information, full names, account IDs, links to their social media accounts, and gender details. Hacker has shown over 200 million user data as sample proof.
The hacker is asking four-digit amount (in USD) in exchange for breached data in the form of Bitcoins. This comes just days after a similarly massive leak of scraped data from over 500 million Facebook users was leaked. LinkedIn has more than 740 million clients, the organization specifies this on its site, which implies that information of more than two-thirds of its subscribers has been undermined and being sold on the web.
