National Sports of Bangladesh

   The sports which is popular in the Indian subcontinent and other surrounding Asian countries is known as Kabbadi.It is contact team sports.It’s a game played with seven members.The objective of the game is for a single player run into the opposing team’s half of a court, tag out as many of their defenders as possible and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders, and in a single breath.
   A person who runs into opposing team court is called as raiders.Points scored for each players tagged by raiders.If raiders get stopped by opposing team then the point goes to opposing team.The highest governing body is International Kabaddi Federation.This sports is also called as Kaudi, Pakaada, Ha-du-du, Bhavatik, Saadukuda, Hu-Tu-Tu, Himoshika.There are separate competitions for male and female.In 2018 , The asian game was started for kabbadi.The game was popularised as a competitive sport in the 20th century.

   It is the national sport of Bangladesh. It is the state game of the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.There are two major disciplines of kabaddi.They are circle style and standard style.Kabaddi is native to the Indian subcontinent. It is one of the most popular sports in India.They played mainly among people in villages. India has taken part in four Asian Games in kabaddi and won gold in all of them.
