The game of volleyball, originally called “Mintonette,” was invented in 1895 by William G.

It is a team sports where team members act together towards a shared objective and based on Passing the ball from one to another, with choreographed team movement. This sports consists of two teams of six players are separated by a net. Hitting the ball into the net was considered a foul.Beach volleyball is a variation of the game played on sand and with only two players per team.It became a FIVB-endorsed variation in 1987 and was added to the Olympic program at the 1996.There are six basic skills and they are serve, pass, set, attack, block and dig.Team movements are determined by the teams chosen serve receive system, offensive system, coverage system, and defensive system.

A libero is an indoor volleyball with back-row defensive specialist. Since they only play in the back row, those players are often shorter than the front-row blockers and hitters but have impeccable ball-control skills. The position was created to promote ball-control.
