MERCURY:
- It does not have any moons or rings.
- We can jump up to 4ft(1.2M).
- Your weight on Mercury would be 38% of your weight on earth.
- A year on Mercury takes 88 earth days only.
VENUS:
- A day on Venus is longer than a year.
- Unlike other planets, Venus spins clockwise on its axis.
- We can jump upto 1.7ft(0.6M).
- Venus has 90 times the atmospheric pressure of Earth.
EARTH:
- Earth is a squashed sphere.
- The only planet having plate tectonics that keep the planet comfortable.
- It is mostly iron, oxygen and silicon. The molten iron core creates a magnetic field.
- We can jump upto 1.6ft(0.6M).
MARS:
- Mars had water in the ancient past and has frozen water today.
- It used to have a thicker atmosphere which contains 95% CO2.
- Average temperature is about -50°F(-45°C).
- We can jump upto 4ft(1.2M).
JUPITER:
- It is the fastest spinning planet.
- Its magnetic field is 14 times stronger than Earth’s field.
- It has rings and 67 moons.
- We can jump upto 0.6ft(0.2M).
- It has the shortest day of the eight planets and 11.86 earth years .
SATURN:
- Saturn is the least dense planet in the solar planet.
- It has taken 29.4 earth years to orbit the sun.
- The length of the day is a mystery until recently. But approximately it is found that 10hr 32mins 35secs.
- Saturn gives off more energy than it receives from the sun and has the fastest winds.
URANUS:
- Uranus has rings and 27 moons.
- It is the coldest planet in the Solar system.
- The mass of Uranus is about 14.5 times the mass of Earth.
- Uranus rotates on its axis once every 17 hrs 14 mins and takes 84 earth days to orbit the sun.
It is known as “giant ice".
NEPTUNE:
- Neptune’s surface gravity is almost like Earth.
- It has thin rings and 14 moons.
- A year on Neptune lasts 165 earth years.
- It is the coldest planet with an average surface temperature of -214°C.
- Neptune spins very quickly on its axis and the atmosphere is extremely active.
