Yoga is an art with spiritual and ascetic discipline. It gives your body fitness and strengthens your immunity. It includes breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, which is widely practised for health and relaxation. Though exercise gives you fitness and strengthens your immunity, it is quite different from yoga.
It has a lot of specific benefits compare to exercise. It increases our posture, flexibility, and mental health. The basis of yogic breathing practices lie in pranayama, or yogic breathing techniques. These techniques, which are integrated into the vast majority of yoga classes, can be amazing for restoring balance and vitality to the body and mind. Controlled breathing can increase energy levels and relax the muscles, while reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
On a physiological level, regular yoga practice has been found to improve lung capacity and breathing, both in healthy adults and those who suffer from asthma. The fundamental purpose of yoga is to foster harmony in the body, mind, and environment. By doing yoga regularly, we can maintain our skin texture as youth whereas exercise can’t produce those results. Exercising too much can cause missed menstrual periods or make your periods stop entirely. Irregular or missed periods are more common in athletes and other women who train hard regularly, but yoga does not affect our menstrual periods. It is an energy efficient activity. Regular practice of yoga will strengthen the muscles of your arms, back, legs, and core. Even though yoga is not aerobic, some research finds it can be just as good as aerobic exercise for improving health. Those yoga postures are also helpful in Health improvement.
