One of the tallest horses in the world is the Percheron horse is originated in French. They are black, grey, chestnut, roan, sorrel in colour. Percheron horses are born black in colour and they begin to turn grey, usually by age of 3. Sometimes light grey almost looks like white. Percherons in the United States generally stand between 16.2 and 17.3 hands (66 and 71 inches, 168 and 180 cm), with a range of 15–19 hands (60–76 inches, 152–193 cm). American Percherons average 1,900 pounds (860 kg), and their top weight is around 2,600 pounds (1,200 kg).
