The game which sharpens our intelligence is chess. It is a recreational game.This game is played between Two players. It is played on a square board with 64 squares arranged in eight by eight grid. Each and Every Steps has its own notations. Chess got its name from a mispronunciation by British merchants, it was originally called shah (king in Persian).The object of the game is to checkmate the opponent’s king, whereby the king is under immediate attack (in “check”) and there is no way to remove it from attack on the next move. There are also several ways a game can end in a draw. Chess was occasionally criticized in the 19th century as a waste of time.
Nowadays Chess is one of the world’s popular games played by millions of people at home, clubs& online. The current form of the game emerged in Southern Europe during the second half of the 15th century after evolving from similar, much older games of Indian and Persian origin. In Europe, chess evolved into roughly its current form in the 15th century.The earliest predecessor of the game probably originated in India, by the 7th century AD.
This Game may also be called as Western or International chess to distinguish it from related games such as ‘xiangqi’. The timing for casual games to play is usually last 10 to 60 minutes and for tournament games last anywhere from about 10 minutes.The Skills required for this game is Strategyand Tactics.This Game involves no hidden information.
